Jade Wye
Mental Health Nurse
About me
Hi, I'm Jade! I started my mental health nursing career in 2013, having worked in mental health settings for 5 years prior to this.
I have worked in both acute and secondary mental health settings, covering a range of inpatient, outpatient and liaison meaning I am skilled in assessing, formulating and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. I also work in the addiction field, and became a voice for change in this field with a multi award winning podcast, breaking down barriers and stigma associated with addiction difficulties.
I am a keen advocate for those I work with and will always endeavor to find the right treatment and support.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, playing netball and going for walks.
My Approach
I recognise that trauma is relative and operate in a trauma informed way, looking at the whole person and situation rather than just a singular 'problem'.
I take great pride in being a mental health nurse and find it an immense privilege to be able to support individuals during times of difficulty and/or distress.

What is a mental health assessment?
If you are not sure what's troubling you, our nurses will assess you and put you in touch with the right expert.
A mental health assessment is a conversation between you and mental health professionals to help decide what kind of support you need.
A mental health assessment is not a test or an exam, it is about helping you. You only have to talk about what you want to talk about. The more open and honest you are, the easier it will be to get you the right help.
