1. Privacy Statement

This Privacy Policy sets out how Expat Therapy Hub and ExpatTherapyHub.com ('we', 'us', 'our', 'ETH') collects, holds, uses and protects your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the expattherapyhub.com website ('the Website'). You agree that using the Website or clicking 'I Accept' when signing up for a user account on the Website implies your consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 Singapore.

2. Information we collect

We will collect personal data on this Website only if it is directly provided to us by you the user, e.g. your e-mail address, name, home or work address and telephone number, and therefore has been provided by you with your consent. Normally you will only provide such details if you are making a purchase from us or making use of our services.

 

We also use analytical and statistical tools that monitor details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data (but this data will not identify you personally).

 

Your payment information (e.g. credit card details) provided when you make a purchase from our website is not received or stored by us. That information is processed securely and privately by the third party payment processors that we use. Expat Therapy Hub will not have access to that information at any time. We may share your personal data with our payment processors, but only for the purpose of completing the relevant payment transaction. Such payment processors are banned from using your personal data, except to provide these necessary payment services to us, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and payment information.

3. Use of Personal Information

ETH (including its independent therapists (“Therapists”), independent mental health nurses (“Nurses”) and staff) will use the personal information you provide in the provision of services to you.

We may use the personal information you provide for evaluating, improving, personalising and developing our business, the Website, our other products and services, and to protect our users. We may also use your personal information in the course of:

  1. improving the Website, our other products and services, and user satisfaction;

  2. providing and delivering the Website and our other products and services to you;

  3. providing support to you (including technical support) with regard to the use of the Website and our other products and services;

  4. assisting in the provision of administrative services to the Therapists and Nurses;

  5. carrying out internal research and for statistical purposes (including market segmentation and customer value analysis);

  6. assessing whether there has been a material breach of our Terms of Service, this Privacy policy, or any policies created by us from time to time; and

  7. enabling us to forward to you other information or material which we believe may be of interest to you, or that you have indicated you may be interested in receiving.

 

We automatically gather information to monitor the use of the Website and our other products and services. Most of the data we collect is aggregated, and such aggregated information is effectively anonymous to us.

We may use Google Analytics, and other third-party analytics software to track your usage of the Website. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. Google utilises the data collected to track and examine the use of our Site, prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google’s use of the data collected is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy which is available at google.com/policies/privacy.

4. Information Retained by Therapists

All of the Therapists and Nurses listing their Services on the ETH website under ‘therapists’ & ‘nurses’ are independent practitioners and are not employed by us.

Your Therapist or Nurse may gather additional information during the sessions you have together. Often, your Therapist or Nursewill make notes about your session, either during or immediately following your appointment. This information is used by your Therapist or Nurse to provide the best possible Service to you. Your Therapist or Nurse is responsible for ensuring that this information is securely held according to the confidentiality policies stipulated by any professional organisation to which they may belong and in accordance with Singapore privacy law.

5. Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your information to regulatory bodies to enable us to comply with the law and to assist fraud protection and minimise credit risk.

 

If you do not want us to use your data for our use, you will have the opportunity to withhold your consent to this when you provide your details to us on the form on which we collect your data, or you can do so by writing to us at support@expattherapyhub.com at any time.

 

6. Storage and Security of Personal Information

We will use all reasonable endeavours to maintain the security of the personal information we collect against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Data transmissions over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be fully and absolutely secure. The Website and our services have security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The precautionary steps we have taken or plan to take to protect personal information include:

  1. storing all our cloud information in Singapore by way of our secure and encrypted servers;

  2. external messaging of data is not permitted;

  3. adopting measures to protect our computer systems and networks for storing, processing and transmitting personal information;

  4. adopting procedural and personnel measures for limiting access to personal information by our staff;

  5. regularly reviewing our information collection, storage and processing practices; and

  6. using secured encrypted servers, password protection for electronic files, multi-factor authentication procedures, securing paper files in locked cabinets and physical access restrictions.

 

We cannot ensure or warrant that your personal information will always be secure during transmission or protected from unauthorised access during storage therefore you provide your personal information to us at your own risk. Please contact us immediately if you become aware or have reason to believe there has been unauthorised use of your personal information in connection with the Website.

7. Cross-Border Disclosures

We may disclose personal information to outsourced information technology service providers, including cloud computing providers and data storage providers, based outside of Singapore.

With the exception of the above, we will only disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient if:

  2. the disclosure of the information is required, authorised or permitted by or under Singapore law, other applicable law or a court/tribunal order.

If you use a Link in this website to access a third-party website, you do so entirely at your own risk. You should always read the applicable privacy policies on the other website. We have reviewed the linked websites for relevance to mental health and therapy but have not vetted them and take no responsibility for their content.

9. Accessing and updating your personal information

If you have established an account with us, you may access and amend your personal information through the Website after you log in. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of your personal information is accurate and kept up to date.

If you wish to amend personal information that we hold that you are not able to amend through the Website, please contact us by writing to us at support@expattherapyhub.com. We will reasonably endeavour to respond to your request for access within 7 business days. You are responsible for advising us of any changes to your personal information.

If you wish to delete your profile from the Website, please contact us by writing to our Privacy Officer at support@expattherapyhub.com. Please be aware there may be residual information left behind on our servers from your profile / personal information which is beyond our control. If applicable, any legal requirement on us to maintain certain records of your personal information shall prevail over any of your requests.

10. Applicable Law

ExpatTherapyHub.com is operated remotely by directors and staff of Expat Therapy Hub PLC, a limited company registered in Singapore with company number ________and registered address of 8 Eu Tong Sen Street #18-81 The Central Singapore 059818.  This Privacy Policy will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. If any provision of this Privacy Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of this Privacy Policy which will continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time without further notice to you. Any variations made will be updated on the Website. Your use of the Website following any such change to the Privacy Policy will confirm your acceptance of the changes.
