About me
I believe deeply in the importance of growth, and the power of moving with another towards emotional vulnerability, where they can be supported in facing themselves to work towards healing. I seek to create spaces as both a counsellor and a person living in the world, where others can give space to all aspects of themselves, and let go of any shame they may be carrying. I know the confusion of feeling isolated and detached, and the joy in feeling connected and seen. I can be raw, challenging, encouraging and gentle. Analytical and logical, and all heart too.

My Approach
I feel that my role as a counsellor is to provide a safe and supportive environment through which you might better understand how you feel, the difficulties you may be facing and how you can move forward in whichever direction you wish to.
I strive to work with every person in an accepting and compassionate way and feel that whatever comes up for you in counselling will arrive when you are ready. As trust develops you may go deeper into your past and present story, your emotions and physical sensations.
Exploring what it is like to relate and connect with one another in the counselling room, and to connect with yourself, is often the beginning of shifting from where you are towards where you want to be. It is a brave decision to make to bring yourself here.
Having both witnessed and experienced the power of feeling heard and held, I believe fully in the counselling process and aim to practice in a way that is accessible to anyone, recognising the differences and unique qualities we each have. We can work together for a set number of sessions from the outset if you wish to work through a specific issue, or we can leave things open ended, whatever feels right for you.
As a Humanistic counsellor I believe that, given the resources, everyone can make positive changes to the way they live, can work through their issues, can take charge of creating their future and lead themselves to a life containing greater fulfilment.
